Hands like spades, a body more evocative of a wild bear than anything you've ever seen walk on two legs. Their armor is hewn together from the pelts and skins of countless creatures, and you're honestly surprised the first time you see them draw a weapon whose blade is forged of iron instead of stone. Appearance alone, they look more like the kind of thing you'd be hired to put down than stand alongside.
A primitive throwback, once pale skin pockmarked by scar and sun.
They're the first to draw a weapon, the first to blaze a trail and the first to get their hands dirty. The words they offer your group are simple, when they offer any at all. You appease any initial worries with the thought that having an extra pair of hands won't hurt, no matter how rough the skin.
The second entry in a set of 13, Path is a short fiction zine inspired by the "Barbarian" archetype found in multiple fantasy roleplaying games.
