SYMPTOMATIC

You’re not a normal teenager. Something is different about you. Something that other people say is dangerous. Holding it in is killing you. Letting it out might kill them. Is freedom worth it?

Symptomatic is a minimalist tabletop roleplaying game designed for between 2-6 players. 

In Symptomatic, players will inhabit the roles of a group of Teens with abnormal symptoms that came to them at puberty, who must struggle and fight for their freedom against The Hate Called Authority, lest they be consumed by it. The power of incredible violence rests inside them, they need only use it and be unafraid of what it might cost them.

The GM will assume the role of The Hate; a violent and oppressive regime that inhabits The Sprawl that jails the Teens, possesses Many Hands and Many Mouths as puppets, and constructs Situations to either Harm the Teens or force them to Harm others.

Inspired by Luciano Dalbert's You are telepaths escaping from town, PSYKERS by Mega Corp, and the fact that several world governments want me and my community dead and forgotten.

This experimental game was one of two I designed for the Minimalist TTRPG Jam 4. It was made without AI.
